Treat the destination as part of the buying specification. The buyer or importer should verify current local requirements, while the RFQ records the product, packing, documents and delivery assumptions that the supplier must confirm.
01 · MARKET PREPARATION
Identify the province, channel and importer
State the province or territory, city, postal code, final receiving point, intended sales channel and the Canadian party responsible for import and product review. Add retailer, marketplace or distribution-center instructions where they apply.
02 · MARKET PREPARATION
Control product and size information
Provide exact reference codes, quantity by style, color and size, the approved measurement chart, grading, tolerance, material requests and controlled artwork files. Do not rely on a general North American size conversion.
03 · MARKET PREPARATION
Assign the Canadian label review
Ask the Canadian importer or qualified adviser to verify the Textile Labelling Act and Regulations, required fibre and dealer information, applicable English and French content and any additional provincial requirements such as those relevant in Québec. Give the supplier buyer-approved files rather than inferred wording.
04 · MARKET PREPARATION
Keep import preparation separate from the product quote
Record currency, named delivery point, quotation basis, packing, samples, documents and excluded services. The Canadian importer should use current CBSA guidance to confirm business setup, origin, classification, value, admissibility, documents, duties, taxes and release steps for the exact shipment.

BUYER QUESTIONS
Questions to resolve before quotation approval.
Does one English label file cover every Canadian destination?
Do not assume it does. The Canadian buyer or importer should verify current federal bilingual information and any applicable provincial language requirements, then send approved final files.
Can OUTERFRAME register the Canadian importer in CARM?
No. Importer setup and customs-account responsibilities belong to the Canadian importing party and its authorized advisers. The RFQ should name that party and the documents it needs from the supplier.
Can the Canada quotation include duties and taxes?
Only if the written quotation clearly defines the basis, named place, included amounts and exclusions. The importer should verify current classification, value, origin, duties and taxes for the exact goods.
